SCPS Strategic Planning — Get Involved!

Hi PASS Parents and Friends!(Abby here)

As you may know, every six years, SCPS develops a new strategic plan for local education. This is required by state law, but even if it weren’t, it would still be a good idea to take a step back and look at the big picture every so often. Our current strategic plan expires at the end of the current school year, and, in the course of developing a new strategic plan, SCPS is seeking input from the community.

As part of that, SCPS is looking for individuals to participate — along with SCPS staff, business leaders, and others — in focus groups to consider two primary areas — the School Division’s culture, and the school division’s preparation of students. Parents should play a role in these focus groups, as the primary advocates for our children.

If you are interested in participating in this process, you can learn more about it by clicking on the link below, which will take you to page where you can sign up. I hope lots of parents take advantage of this opportunity.
